These surveillance cameras can work through your WIFI, they can be wireless, hard-wired, use Ethernet, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, or some proprietary technology.

The feed can also be saved to an SD card (like for your camera) for you to view after the fact. It’s possible to extend the range of your WIFI with an added piece of equipment if necessary. Hook-ups tend to get more sophisticated when you’re using technology for a commercial application as opposed to the amateur wanting to watch his or her dog sleeping during the day.
